Tandem Skydive

A tandem skydive is geared toward someone who wants to come out and get the full experience in one jump.

Your jump starts with a safety briefing on the ground with your tandem instructor. You then get in the plane for a scenic ride to 10,000ft. The next step is to experience the thrill of a lifetime. Attached to your tandem instructor you will be falling at speeds of over 200 km/h. It is then a relaxing 5 minute canopy ride down to the ground.

Media Packages

Have all the action of your jump captured and edited into your own skydiving video. We offer three video packages; a instructor filmed hand-cam, a third person pro-cam, or a combination of the two camera angles. Once the video is edited we send you the link to download to your computer or mobile device.

To ensure we are able to provide the service you are looking for please request the video package while booking.

Hand-cam Package

Video footage capturing an inside perspective from your Tandem instructor’s Hand mounted camera. Includes footage of your exit from the plane, freefall, parachute opening and you flying the canopy.

Pro-cam Package

Video footage of your Jump from a professional videographer who captures your exit, freefall and parachute opening from an outside perspective.

Ultimate-cam Package

Video footage from both Hand-cam and Pro-cam perspectives.

First Jump Course

The First Jump Course is geared toward someone who wants to jump on their own.

We run classes on Friday nights starting at 5:30 pm. The course is approximately 4 – 5 hours long. Jumping will be scheduled the following Saturday or Sunday (weather permitting). In the first jump course you will be taught the techniques and skills necessary to make your first skydive safe and enjoyable. The course content includes an introduction to equipment, aircraft procedures, canopy flight, and landings. We offer practical training using a suspended harness and an aircraft mock-up. After completing the course, you will be prepared to jump by yourself. Don’t worry, our instructional staff will supervise you from the plane to the ground. Your first jump will be made from 3,500 feet and your instructor will activate your parachute as you jump from the plane. You will then be guided in by radio commands until you land safety on the ground.

Victoria Skydivers is Victoria’s longest running skydive centre we have been training students for over 30 years. We are committed to making your jump a safe and enjoyable experience so you want to jump again and again!

All students should be physically fit, have no problems understanding English, and weigh a maximum of 220 lbs.

Repeat Jumps

The Gradual Freefall Program starts after your first jump.

The GFF Program takes 15 to 20 jumps to complete:

  • First you learn to exit the plane safely assisted by an instructor from 3,500 ft.
  • Next you learn to open your own parachute safely.
  • You will gradually exit the plane from higher altitudes every training level and learn skydiving skills at different altitudes until you reach 10,000 ft.

You will be required to become a member of the
Canadian Sport Parachuting Association after completing 10 jumps.

All repeat jumps must be made within 6 months of your last jump made, or additional re-training of your last level may be required at your own expense.

Demonstration Jumps

We perform many exhibition jumps for various charities in our area, to help them raise money for their cause.

One popular strategy involves the charity acquiring a couple of donation prizes. The charity then sells paper plates for people to mark with their name. Next, these plates are scattered in the parachute landing area. We then parachute into the area, and the jumpers pick-up the winning plate they landed on.

While our licensed exhibition jumpers donate their time towards these events,
the plane and insurance costs need be paid for.
