Tandem Skydive

A tandem skydive is geared toward someone who wants to come out and get the full experience in one jump.

Your jump starts with a safety briefing on the ground with your tandem instructor. You then get in the plane for a scenic ride to 10,000ft. The next step is to experience the thrill of a lifetime. Attached to your tandem instructor you will be falling at speeds of over 200 km/h. It is then a relaxing 5 minute canopy ride down to the ground.

First Jump Course

The First Jump Course is geared toward someone who wants to jump on their own.

We run classes on Friday nights starting at 5:30 pm. The course is approximately 4 – 5 hours long. Jumping will be scheduled the following Saturday or Sunday (weather permitting). In the first jump course you will be taught the techniques and skills necessary to make your first skydive safe and enjoyable. The course content includes an introduction to equipment, aircraft procedures, canopy flight, and landings. We offer practical training using a suspended harness and an aircraft mock-up. After completing the course, you will be prepared to jump by yourself. Don’t worry, our instructional staff will supervise you from the plane to the ground. Your first jump will be made from 3,500 feet and your instructor will activate your parachute as you jump from the plane. You will then be guided in by radio commands until you land safety on the ground.

Victoria Skydivers is Victoria’s longest running skydive centre we have been training students for over 30 years. We are committed to making your jump a safe and enjoyable experience so you want to jump again and again!

All students should be physically fit, have no problems understanding English, and weigh a maximum of 220 lbs

Repeat Jumps

The Graduated Freefall Program starts after your first jump.

The GFF Program takes 15 to 20 jumps to complete:

  • First you learn to exit the plane safely assisted by an instructor from 3,500 ft.
  • Next you learn to open your own parachute safely.
  • You will gradually exit the plane from higher altitudes every training level and learn skydiving skills at different altitudes until you reach 10,000 ft.

You will be required to become a member of the
Canadian Sport Parachuting Association after completing 10 jumps.

All repeat jumps must be made within 6 months of your last jump made,
or additional re-training of your last level may be required at your own expense.
